Considered a multifaceted and unique artist, inheriting an artistic genetic lineage that is difficult to overcome, Palfarias acquires the technique and love for painting from his maternal grandmother, the great landscape painter Aurora Luna de Arias, as well as the genes from a distant paternal relative, a renowned Mexican muralist.
Palfarias is the pseudonym of Pablo Alfaro Arias, an artist originally from Mexico City, whose style flows freely from realism to impressionism, from surrealism to abstract or caricature, with a mastery of different techniques that range from oil, acrylic, watercolor or pastel.
For many years, he was a member of the Pintores del Callejon, in the city of Xalapa, where he developed intense artistic activity.
His work is admired by collectors in Europe, the United States and Latin America.
As a renaissance man, Palfarias also shines in other artistic facets as a world renowned violin maker, restorer and violinist.
“Art immerses us in a timeless and magical journey”
